The tower that inspires and impresses
The main office of 3CUBA agency is located in a unique place. In 2012 our second home was an old water tower in one of the quietest, greenest areas of Riga. Architecturally, the tower was built in 1912 in the Art Nouveau style. It is not only a symbol of our city, but also an urban legend, the tower of great masons and even a haven for ghosts.
Once you get into our office, you realize how much deep history we are surrounded by on a daily basis. A tour for our clients is part of the familiarization program with the 3CUBA agency.
Architect Vilhelm Ludvig Nikolaj Bokslaf designed three almost identical water towers in Riga. Their location forms an equilateral triangle (the symbol of the Freemasons), the center of which is the Dome Cathedral - the building from which Riga originated. Each tower has an impressive stone portal - the entrance. Above it is a unique stone bas-relief with the symbols of Riga and the Freemasons.
We don't just work in the tower, but have made our small contribution to its restoration. "For a long time it stood abandoned. We repaired it, breathed life into it, tidied up the surrounding area, which serves as our relaxation zone, says Alexander Ushakov, creative director of 3CUBA. - In the hot summer the one and a half meter high walls of the tower keep the office cool, and In winter, they "hold their own" against blizzards and Baltic frosts. In one of Riga's antiques we found a picture of our tower and the surrounding area taken from an airship”. It now hangs in our meeting room along with various professional diplomas and awards.
"The tower is imbued with a creative atmosphere! We collected a lot of vintage things that became part of the interior," says Sergejs Zarovnijs, VR, AR and XR developer. - Imagine a circular office (shaped like a tower) with arched ceilings 5 meters high, ancient skis, bicycles, paintings hanging on the walls, a cast-iron chandelier hanging from the ceiling, a cinema room with a projector in one room where you can make presentations and play video games. And if you want you can stay in the office overnight. In summer there is a place for a barbecue and hammocks are stretched on the territory. When asked where you are now, we do not answer the banal "office", but say so - in the tower. It has become a household name!"
The tower is officially haunted. His name is Jerzus. According to legend, he is the spirit of the first caretaker of the tower. He periodically locks the doors and slams the old windows on the upper floors.
By the way, at the very top is a huge water tank. It stands empty, and we sometimes organize our band performances there. The sound is reflected by the metal walls and the acoustic sound is like an organ. "Rebranding is a visual manifestation of the transformation of a company or the changes taking place in it, says Alexander Ushakov. - Our tower is a great example of such work! We have rebranded our tower, and the tower has reciprocated".
